CATERING TERMS

Thank you for choosing Guttabites Caribbean for your catering needs. By booking our catering services, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. Booking and Orders
All catering bookings must be placed at least 5 working days in advance of the event.
A minimum order value or guest number may apply (e.g., 20 servings). Please confirm requirements at the time of booking.
Orders can be placed via phone, email, or through our official website.
To secure your booking, full payment must be received at least 7 days before the event. Orders are not confirmed until payment has been received.
2. Payment and Pricing
All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and may include applicable taxes.
Payment methods accepted: cash, debit/credit card, or bank transfer.
Any additional services (e.g., serving staff, equipment hire, extended hours) must be agreed in advance and may incur extra charges.
Late payments may result in cancellation of your booking without refund.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made 7 days or more before the event will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made 2–6 days before the event may be subject to a cancellation fee (up to 50% of the booking value).
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event are non-refundable.
Refunds will not be issued once food preparation has begun.
4. Delivery, Setup and Service
Delivery charges may apply depending on the event location.
Setup and/or serving services are available for an additional fee and must be requested in advance.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that the venue is accessible, has suitable facilities, and is ready for setup at the agreed time.
We are not liable for delays caused by venue access issues or factors outside our control (e.g., traffic, weather).
5. Allergies and Dietary Requirements
We will make every effort to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies when notified in advance.
However, we cannot guarantee that food will be completely free from allergens, as all food is prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens.
It is the client’s responsibility to inform all guests of potential allergens and dietary risks.
By booking, you acknowledge that Guttabites Caribbean is not liable for allergic reactions where full details were not provided at the time of booking.
6. Liability
Once food has been delivered, served, or handed over to the client, responsibility for safe handling and storage lies with the client.
Guttabites Caribbean will not be liable for:
Food consumed after the recommended consumption period
Improper storage or handling by the client
Any loss, damage, or injury beyond our reasonable control
7. Changes and Special Requests
Menu or order changes must be requested at least 3 days before the event.
Special requests (e.g., bespoke dishes, equipment hire, extended service) will be considered depending on availability and feasibility.
Any agreed changes may affect the final cost of the booking.
8. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather, strikes, transport issues, power failures, or other unforeseen events).
